Estate Agents Tip: Best Real Estate Schools

The first step to becoming a licensed real estate agent is to pass your real estate exam. In most states, this is going to require you to attend real estate school. You must take a required real estate course in order to be eligible to take the state real estate test.

In this video, I give my recommendations on the best real estate school to take your classes at, in my opinion.

I also discuss the topic of online school vs. classroom schooling. Which one is better and what is quicker?

If you are like me, I wanted to become a real estate agent as quickly as possible. I wanted to take my real estate courses at a good school and get it over with.

Before you take your real estate exam or pursue a real estate school, see what my recommendations are for a real estate school.

  1. You should change "schools" to school. Because you only talk about the school that you're getting a comm$ss$on from. I checked it out it's not one of the best schools. Please be honest next time.

  2. Hi Chastin! I am a new follower. Thank you for the helpful information. Are the hours completed accepted in the state specific to your state? Basically, if I complete the online course for Oklahoma, will I have any issues with my hours of study being recognized?

  3. You stated you completed the entire course in two Weeks. How did you do that, I'm taking the online program for Texas and my course instructor stated that it would take at least 4 months. That would even be fast track?

  4. Currently in Kaplan/Brightwood. Not a cohesive package, not my ideal style of learning. That said, I still have the desire to be a real estate salesperson however I just FAILED my 1st half of the National COURSE proctored test, 2x (!!) Help, I'm at a cross roads. Should I keep trying or is this a sign that RE is NOT for me?? I did not rush through, in fast I tried hard to understand property law and estate. First chance proctored test I missed by 1 question, second I missed by 3. Course says I should be at 80% to pass the State (Texas) Exam.

  5. I just signed up for my prelicensing through this school on New Years Eve. Extremely happy with it so far. Chastin, can you offer any advice for someone in a situation where they want to get into real estate full time, but need to start off part time? I.E. best ways to utilize your time starting off or how to prep yourself and your business to make a full time transition? Thanks in advance! Love your content!

  6. Would you suggest completing the continuing education hours in the beginning while you're doing the pre-licensing courses? One of the packages includes the 18 hr 1 year renewal courses.

  7. I have a two part question for you. I'm not very good at math, it was my worst subject in school. I'd like to know:
    A. How difficult math is on the license test?
    B. How much math is used in your career?

  8. I'm taking courses with Real Estate Express and I love it. Actually got a Groupon for it and couldn't pass up the deal. And it actually had that guarantee that you get your money back if you don't pass.

  9. Thank you for the video, Chastin! I'm moving to Fort Worth this August and my friend and I were thinking about taking real estate classes together. Do you think you could make a little series of videos on this topic? Like interview RE schools, interview the professors, new graduates (how they're choosing their broker etc.). Or maybe interview some brokerages and see what they are looking for in new agents.
But most importantly, could you get more discounts for some of the top RE schools in DFW metroplex? 🙂 I learn better when someone explains it to me verbally, thanks!

  10. Weird, I was just talking to a local job recruiter and I told her that I was wanting to get into real estate next year, gotta save up this year, then I got off the phone and jumped on here and you put up this video.
