Estate Agents Tip: Real estate agents going extinct because of…(2018)

Real estate agents going extinct because of some company coming around and changing the real estate game. This video is about me feeling like real estate agents may or may not become obsolete because of new companies that are coming around. Real estate agents are hired to facilitate real estate transactions, but will it get to a point where real estate agents are not needed?

That’s what I talk about in this video.

  1. Easiest job to acquire, real estate boards are mafias, tons of conflict of interest in back dealing. Taxi drivers didn't think they'd be affected by Uber either. Like honestly consider, what is it you guys actually do that a one time fee consultant couldn't?

  2. lol, your so funny!!!! Chastin & I'm glad your touching bases on this topic, I just had a client name a company she was thinking about using. I did explain the pros and the cons to her

  3. I don't know much about this; however, when I went to sell my house the realtor was going to take $15000 right off the top. They did little to nothing for me, so in the end I said no thank you. I'll keep my money. What do you guys/gals think???

  4. In 2017, 90% of home owners used real estate agents to purchase or sell their homes. According to Forbes real estate agents have been used even more in the last 30 years.

  5. The last financial crisis drove a lot of Realtors to extinction. This is what does it every time, really any business tied to the real estate market, construction and the list goes on. People make the same foolish mistakes now as it is with real estate. I see it first hand in what I do for a living as HVAC contractor. Real Estate is sold by looks. Mmmm looks good. When the bones of the house creak, the plumbing knocks, the HVAC sputters, the electricity flickers. But people, God love em. They pay no attention to the bones of the home. Financial Crisis 101. If you can't see it, does than mean it doesn't exist? You turn the heat on feels warm if it works… but you know people take it for granted. They have this disillusionment of a home warranty coming to the rescue. People want a feel good story, but life doesn't work like that.

  6. I feel like those companies would just force real estate agents to be better and step up their game. The agents that are good at what they do would always be here. But the ones that aren’t so good and half ass it may go extinct because of these companies. If you grind, I wouldn’t be worried at all about these companies.

  7. I just did a YouTube video on this subject as well. I totally agree with what you said. As a Realtor, we are face to face with clients and make that big difference by creating a friendship and not a business deal. All of these websites take out that face to face interaction and cut people short on some of the money they could be making buy selling through an Agent.

  8. Speaking of technology, can you do a video on any technology you use like any apps you use to help you in your business. It could be for tax time at the end of the year or something you use to assist a client.

  9. Hello, you mentioned EXP in your video. What are your thoughts on EXP? I saw a presentation a couple of weeks ago and it's presented as a pyramid, where you make money if you get other realtors to sign up under you and sell property.

  10. In the uk, people say online estate agents (realtors is what you call them I think) will take over. But it just is not. There's a company called purplebricks, which claims to be cutting out the middle man, but what they do is take £500 and leave you to do the rest of the work. Realtors will not go extinct unless robots can drive and do viewings and paperwork.

  11. Hear it all the time… deals are made face to face belly to belly… people will realize Redfin is shit and also purple bricks. We will always be here for at least the next 20 years.

  12. Realtors USED to have a monopoly on information.Sites like Zillow and Realtor.co give people the access to info.Companies like Opendoor and Offerpad take a hit at listing agents.NAR could put a stop to Zillow by cutting off their access to local MLS's.Real estate is changing like any other industry.Realtors are here to stay, but the level of competition will only ramp up over the next few years
